Sisterhood of Old Hong Kong
Meet-the-Artist
|
Anyone who grew up in Hong Kong may remember seeing an amah at some point. White Chinese-style top, loose black trousers, and hair wound up tight in a bun or hanging in a long braid.
Stay behind after the performance to meet director Roy Szeto and the cast of The Amahs as they share their impressions of these extraordinary women and how they sought surviving amahs to discover the real stories behind this unwritten history of Hong Kong to prepare for the play.
